01302012 Furniture First Names Snyder Director of Accents and Accessories

FURNITURE FIRST NAMESSNYDER IN ACCESSORIES 

HARRISBURG, PA – Shauna Snyder has been named to the newly-created position of director of accents and accessories for Furniture first. she will report to Tony Moretti, vice president of merchandising.

Snyder will be responsible for creating, managing and developing Furniture First’s supplier program relationships. Prior to Furniture first, she held positions with  Rizzy Home, Surya, Art Van Furniture and Storehouse.

“Shauna’s extensive retail and wholesale background and experience in accessories and  rugs will help Furniture first Members build their business with incremental sales in this often-neglected category for furniture retailers,” said Moretti.

Furniture first is a purchasing cooperative made up of retail furniture dealers. Today there are 182 members representing 395 retail locations nationwide accounting for over $1 billion in retail volume. Furniture first was founded in 1994 by a small group of independent furniture retailers who joined together to better compete with national furniture chains through collective buying power and the sharing of best business practices.
